Test drive of Thunder Gray ES with C.V.T..

This is the 3rd Mirage we've drove . Liked this one best so far . She's starting to take a liking to them . We went onto a busy 2 lane road of the business district and hit 3 lights before getting to an overpass leading to the interstate and then getting off the highway to another overpass to go up a fairly steep hill of a state road .Turned around at the top to coast down and then onto the 2 lane road to get back to the dealer . The overall average started at about 26 and ended up at 37.7 on the return . Car had plenty of zip on the interstate and going up the hill . Dealer said we could take it for a longer run at another time . May take them up on it . Got it up to 67 and held it with ease thanks to the C.V.T.. The power is very close to the 1.5 ltr. of the Yaris sedan we had . The MIRAGE is better than the poor reviews it gets . For each their own . Last , we've noticed that the interior has very few rattles if any compared to Toyotas that we've drove .

There is no comparison. How much is the cheapest yaris? One can get a loaded mirage for a base yaris, I think.

You think the cvt has enough zip? Try driving a 5spd. Racecar-like... Well, not quite, but power is definitely put down to the ground.

We did . Still like the MIRAGE . May go that route at a later date . Seen where they're making a few changes to the MIRAGE for '15 , one is turning signal on the side mirrors . Here's an article on MITSUBISHI's intentions for the upcoming years , http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2...utlander-sport . Would consider the hatch or the sedan . No harm in test driving , may take the same one or another for a longer run since they said it would be fine . I'd likely pay for the gas .
