    nice find, thx.

What do you think, is it more efficient to pull loads than to have them on the roof?
The wind exposed cross section of the car would suggest yes.

Mitsu U.S. states that the total cargo weight (incl'd passengers) of the Mirage is just a little over 900 pounds. Subtract four 150lb persons, you'd only have ~350lbs left for other cargo (luggage) and the tongue weight of the hitch pushing downwards on the car ... not a lot of weight can be handled at all.

The only reason I can see for adding a hitch to a Mirage is to have a place to attach one of those little propellers that boat owners use to cover their hitch when not in use. Expensive accessory for a gag.

...Or for a rear mounted bike rack.

Lots of people tow light trailers with vehicles that aren't officially designated for towing.

I'd like to see where this bolts on AND what kind of hardware it uses before I put my bike on this.

I fit my full mountain bike, I don't even think I removed the tires, inside the car.

I know some motorcycles have more horsepower than we do, not to mention a whole lot lighter, so they might be able to tow better than we could... However, if one would seriously want to tow something, I won't tow more than what this can hold.

That would be the useful part for me. I know we can get the roof rack, but I'd feel weird carrying bikes up high, don't feel like raising my center of gravity that much...
