Long time Fuel Miser now in a Mirage

Hello folks, as the title states, I am a long time lover of small cars with an affinity for efficiency. This little guy has piqued my interest ever since Mitsu announced that it would be coming stateside. My curiosity has now been sated, as I picked up a fully loaded Mica Black Saturday night for over 3 grand off sticker.

I am a long time forum junkie as well, having been a member on various forums for all my petrol loving hobbies (along with my collection of small cars, I have Mopar Muscle cars, antique tractors, ATVs, etc)

So far in browsing this forum I have seen lots of what I like to see in a community, good info, and lively discussion.

Always looking for the little guys that need some love... they used to be had for a song, but they are a lot harder to find these days...

Never did have any Metros or Festivas, as I'm a bit of a diesel head, but always wanted one, and with the lunacy of diesel prices these days, and the sillyness around the requirements for emissions, I adored the Mirage for its simplicity.

There weren't many of them from what I can gather. At least not in comparison to the LUVs and P'UPs of which there were quite a few.

I did use the rebate, but I also gathered the knowledge before hand that the dealer is a volume dealer (where basically they make 500 bucks per sale regardless and the rest is gravy) so I lowballed them until I found the price they wouldn't make any money at and was prepared to walk unless they ate a couple hundred of that 500...
