Welcome to the forum!
What prompted the change from such a new vehicle?

Yup, you should be able to double your mileage, driven carefully.
Ithica - I was there once for a fuel economy rally. Also Watkins Glen for a similar thing. Nice area!

My Mirage has navigation. The navigation unit offers verbal notification when you exceed the speed limit. You can customize it to give you some cushion over the limit before notification, or, turn it off completely.
I left it on as the cops in my area will write a ticket for going 32 in a 30.
I was surprised how often I exceeded the posted speed limit. I have now made it a game to not get caught by the nav lady in my around town trips. Mostly succeed, but get caught at least once per outing.
I don't like things that nag you - like seat belt chimes - but I have to admit that I see the benefit of this little tool. Surprised me that I didn't turn the feature off after the first week, but I didn't.

Neighbor to the north here! Ithaca is a nice little city but too darn expensive for me
Is there a Mitsubishi dealer in Ithaca or did you have to go to Cortland or Binghamton to get one?
I would have considered the juke AWD if it wasn't auto only.
I just can't figure why they don't sell it with MT.
I'll just save up for the jukeR.
Welcome!
EDIT:
I'm noticing that people from NY are liking the mirage. First from syracuse, then rochester, now ithaca!
win.
