    Oil Filter Relocation

Has anyone done an oil filter relocation? The oil filter is so hard to get to and it is almost impossible to keep oil from dripping onto what appear to be some starter type motors when you initially unscrew the filter. The so called "oil filter cover" (Mitsubishi's nomenclature) or what I call a "half funnel", is a joke. I would appreciate knowing what you parts or kit you used and where you wound up putting the replacement filter.

Would this help to direct where the dripping?

I don't know that relocating the oil filter would be very practical, there doesn't seem to be much room to mount it and plumb it in.

I don't have one, but I've been wanting to try one since I first heard about them. It'll be with the next oil change I do for sure.

Then why not make a funnel using a laminated carboard/paper?
