    Today's MPG

Well had my 2021 for 10 days now. I have about a 12 mile commute. with about half on the expressway.
Wasn't sure about the CVT at first but after a few days I started to like it. It's fun to get it up to speed and then back off the pedal Then it settles down and just cruises along. I'm finding out where I drive it gets the best mileage at about 60mph.

Today's high was about 63mpg and the attached photo is after I got off the interstate

    61.3 x 0.93 = 57.0 mpg. More realistic, and remains quite impressive.

I took another 140 mile hwy trip with the trunk being completely pack with random heavy stuff. I notice the ride was more comfortable than just myself. Probably due to equal weight distribution.

I kept the auto A/C on at 73 degree low speed, cruise control on at 65 mph max and RPM read 3,100-3,250 ish. G4 had 40 PSI in each tyres and the road were mostly flat. MPG read 48. 48 x 0.93 = 44.67 ish MPG. Super impressive!

My 2014 1.0L manual usually gets around 3.8 to 3.9L/100km ( over 60 mpg US) on a 19km commute in hot weather. Sometime a bit more, somtimes less.
I never rush it when the engine is cold or during warm up, because that immediately spoils mpg.

Not to hijack this thread but apparently this one achieves 75 MPG!

Darin will eat that up! His poor Mirage may receive a transformation after reading that article!

People ride tandem on a motorcycle. Why not do the same with a tiny economy car? Very smart!

The Peel P50 is still my favorite fun, small car I have ever seen! At 100 mpg, it would kick the Geo Metro's butt!

I love the part of the segment where he pulls the car into the office with him once he arrives at work. That car would be a hoot to own!

I was in touch with the builder of that car about a dozen years ago. At that time, he was in NY State not terribly far from where I live.
