Looking a little dirty after all this crazy weather.
Mitsubishi has made a solid economical offering in the form of the new Mirage. It evokes the heritage of lightweight, low-power subcompacts that seemingly beg to be driven spiritedly, while still offering modern levels of comfort and safety.
When driven aggressively, the Mirage's low weight and relative lack of power encourage the driver to practice conservation of momentum. The transmission is well designed, offering access to what little torque exists regardless of gear. Stock brakes are adequate, but fade rapidly in spirited driving conditions. On paper the Mirage has less to offer than its competitors, but in practice it holds its own.
"Form follows function" is my philosophy when it comes to modifying vehicles. I intend to maintain an OEM+ quality of appearance, while still bringing my own style to the Mirage.
