Another solid review of the sedan. This one however doesn't agree with the previous sedan review that praised the improvements in suspension/handling. But he's satisified with the drivetrain: "the three-pot engine and matching CVT were undoubtedly the star of the show."

    Pros ...

    - low price = good value
    - good fuel economy
    - "charming" engine is flexibile & full of character
    - "refined" CVT
    - good noise insulation
    - "sprawling" interior room
    - big trunk

    Cons ...

    - will feel underpowered with a full load
    - lacking standard options like cruise control
    - spirited driving = body roll & "floatiness"
    - sharp bumps transmitted into the car
    - no external trunk release

    Overall ...

Cheap and cheerful, the Japanese brand's city sedan is a solid, no frills proposition.

Thanks for the post . We're waiting for the sedan to arrive here for a test drive . Thinking of the Attrage ( G4 ) or the FIT ( City ) sedan for another car .

Not a problem. I'm looking forward to more reviews out of Oz. I want to know if more people think the suspension upgrades are as beneficial as the first reviewer did.

A shame Mitsubishi doesn't give the Mirage / Attrage rear sway bars standard along with slightly wider tires for North America . MITSUBISHI are you seeing this ? !

    They didn't upgrade it?
Uses the same suspension as the hatch.
This does get bigger front and rear brakes (1 inch bigger) which I plan on putting on my mirage :P

Sits 10-15mm higher than the hatch ground clearance and height wise.
One thing I want to know is how thick is the front sway bar compared to the hatch, as if it is larger, I want one.
I will also be buying the front and rear brakes off the sedan, they are 1" bigger than the hatch

Hmm... just based on this quote:

Mitsubishi also wisely revised the steering and suspension

    From Mitsu:

Springs and dampers have been calibrated in accordance with the sedan body characteristics, which are designed to accommodate extra weight in the rear. A re-tuned front stabiliser bar has been added to maintain body roll control.
