Cd install made service engine light come on

Hi everybody

I just installed a pioneer cd player in my 2001 mirage. Everything worked but now I notice that my service engine soon light is on. Any ideas of what is causing this? I really don't want to take it in because it seems fine and I drive it a lot, but if worst comes worst I will take it in.

I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes, sometimes that will reset that light...

I just did that, disconnected it for about 45 minutes then reconnected it. It turned off and I was happy, but then when I started backing up (out of my garage) it came back on, and I was sad. Probably going to take it in just to make sure. Darn.
