First drive review I've seen out of South Africa, where the Mirage just became available this month (Aug.)

A lot of similar comments compared to other countries:

- value for money (particularly the base trim)
- lots of features for the price
- good city manners, ease of driving
- not as enjoyable on the open road
- smooth shifter
- generous interior space (head & legroom, but 3 adults in the rear is a stretch)
- plasticky interior
- obligatory comment about numb steering & excessive body roll (does anybody at Mitsu read these reviews??)

Overall:

the car does have its fair share of shortcomings, but as a city car it does appear to offer a solid, sensible and well equipped package for a keen-enough price.
There are already some reader comments on this intro/review; interesting to see what people think.
