Anymore updates on this? I was reminded of it when I saw that Speedlab has a supercharged Mirage now!
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

I am not an expert on Australian law, but here the car would need to be approved by the government after the refit. If everything is deemed safe, quiet enough, etc. by the road ministry, you will have a new license for your car and it is street legal. I have seen people legally putting Porsche engines in VW beetles here.

So wait....does that mean the E4-E6 balljoints can go into the Mirage knuckle?

Another Mirage with a swap, this time with a 4B11T and AWD and suspension from an Evo X:

Edit: This isn't the R5 in another thread, that car uses a spec AWD system from Sadev and probably costs around $200K, this thing is around $50K.

Interesting engine, as when I measured, would not fit in the mirage engine bay.
It would require either a chopped firewall, or relocating the radiator to past the bonnet line.

Looking at the pictures, you can see a custom front cross member/radiator support. And the radiator is positioned where it is mounted in front of the cross member instead of underneath it.
