Mitsu Canada's glory days of advertising the "64 mpg Mirage" are finished.

For the 2015 model year, manufacturers are now using NRCAN's more stringent (realistic) fuel economy testing, which are equivalent to the "5-cycle" method the EPA uses in the United States.

Despite the revisions, the car remains the most efficient conventional gasoline-powered (non-hybrid) car available.

The end result: the 2015 car's city/hwy ratings are now nearly identical to the U.S. cars, and the "combined" rating is the same (probably rounding explains the slight differences).
