New Mirage owner from MA

Hi everyone,

I've been reading the forum for a couple of weeks, and thanks to you all, I am the proud owner of a new '14 Mirage DE!

I was at a local Mitsu dealer a couple of weeks ago looking into a couple of full sized used sedans on their lot. (To replace my junker Accord). 2 weeks later, I'm driving out with a new Mirage instead!
The dealer suggested I might be better off with a brand new Mirage, as my monthly payment would be the same as the used cars I looked at, but I was totally not familiar with the car, so I resisted at first until I could see what it was all about. I found this forum, and quickly changed my mind!

I love the car, it's fun to drive (got the 5 speed) and I'm looking forward to saving a lot of dough on gas! The kids like it too.

You realize you bought the underdog, right?

What year was your Accord? I had an old one (89) that went up to ~400k kms (~240k mi) before the rust started getting it. The next owner drove it for another ~50k.

Yep!!

Mine is an 89 too. 301000 miles and still running, but has rust too, and other issues so I decided not to spend any more money on it. I've been driving "beaters" for too long, lol...
