    First fill-up

On my way to class I noticed my mileage remaining went to "--------", so I decided it was time for a fill-up. It only took 6.99 gallons @ $22.34 . Giving me an average mpg on the first tank of 32mpg. Not shabby considering my previous car got 19mpg on the same areas (sadly most of my driving includes red lights at least every 2-3 blocks).

I was also pleased to see that the fuel door is metal. I wasn't expecting that as my last 3 vehicles ($20,000+) all had plastic.

Filled up mine for the first time today too! 7.2 gallons it took, and I put about 300 miles on it. I don't have to deal with too much stop and go though as I live in a more country type of area. Looks like my monthly gas expense is going to be about half of what I was spending at this rate. I'll take it!

If you work at timing the lights (minimizing brake use) you'll see that mileage sky rocket.

I thought I was getting bad MPG when I'm getting 35 lol. Mine's a pretty good mix of fwy and city.

But I did get 37 when I drove up to huntsville.

That`s nice and your car actually has some painting behind the fuel door. My Space Star (Euro version 2014) is all gray and raw like under the hood. I like that blue metallic

WOW! As soon as I went over 500 miles the mpg shot up. My average mpg has went up to over 38mpg in town (with our red lights every block). It seems like that may get even better the more I drive it. I love this little car!

That's great news! In the same type of driving?

Most cars fuel economy will continue to improve from new over thousands of miles/km as the drivetrain breaks in (and tires wear down).

i added 2 miles, but eliminated 5 lights by doing so, but it had already increased in mpg (32 to 35) before I made the route tweak.

The Mirage has a 9.2 gallon fuel tank, so there was likely around 2 gallons left in the tank...one thing I really despise about the Mirage is the silly digital fuel gauge that stops letting you know how much is left in the tank when it gets under 2 gallons. An old fashion analog one would have been far superior.
