Question Need a question answered! Hoping someone knows the answer?!

    Hello,

I was hoping someone would be able to help me out here.

I am looking at a Mirage and there are these vertical slits near the rear doors and I have no idea what they are for.

They look like you can put the seatbelt into the hole but thats not the case...

I just cant figure it out and nobody at a dealer knows the purpose, so maybe someone on here knows?

    Thank you!

If it is like the picture... Yes they are to store the seatbelt when the seats are folded down, as described in the owners manual.

Thank you! Yes that is what I was talking about, its weird the 2014 that I am looking at, the hole isnt big enough, its like they needed to shave off more plastic and I dont want to damage it by shoving it in the hole and having the plastic fray or something... But one of the 2015's im looking at, it fits just fine.

Good luck on your purchase... And welcome to the forum. Glade we could help.

Your will not need the slot, it is just there for convenience/safety, but the belt tensioners keep it tight enough.

They are a tight fit, but once you have put it in there a couple of times, the slot loosens up. (No innuendo intended) LOL.

I agree with Kiwi. I don't know how many times I have laid the back seats down for larger cargo, and each time the seat belts just went along with the seats. I never have a problem with them so I have never used those little slots, but it is a good idea.
