Is anyone practising tyre rotation? Is it worth it?

Of course it is worth it to keep the tires wearing as evenly as possible. Regarding mileage and rotation pattern, you'd need to consult the Manual.

The manual says to rotate them every 7500 miles.

I would rotate them. Considering they run close to $150 each to replace labor included and have a somewhat short treadlife, I think stretching their life out a bit is worth it.
Considering it's something you can do by yourself in ~30 minutes with only the tools that come with the car (jack, spare tire, and tire iron) I'd say it's worth it even if the benefit is small.
I just let the dealer do it every oil change (6 months for me ~5500 miles). It's also a very good time to inspect brake parts and make sure everythings ok with the tires.

Hmm.. my dealer is doing it every 10,000 mi.
my next oil change tomorrow @ 16,000 km will include rotaton.
I should just do it my self but I'm feeling lazy.
Will weld for beer.
