The part number for the door speaker spacers is CT25MT02. The Lancers and Outlanders share
the same part number as well.

Also, for those who don't want to cut up the speaker wires, cable adapter is CT55-MT01.

Is this for both front and rear or just front?

Took a peek at my doors and they appear the same. Crutchfield and Google also agree.

Haven't done my rears yet so I can't 100% confirm this though.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a usb amp that would fit in the glove box. The head unit claims to have 170 watts, which should be enough to give some reasonable volume, but even at the max it is not very loud. The factory unit in my 03 lancer oz was much louder and was only 150 watts. Any ideas on getting more volume. I realize that it is never going to make my ears bleed but there are times that I would like a few more db.

Replace the factory speakers with ones that have a high sensitivity. This means how loud they will play with 1 watt input at 1 meter. It is rated in decibels which is abbreviated to db. A difference of only 6 db is percieved by the human ear to be twice as loud. So, a speaker with a sensitivity of 93 db is twice as loud as a speaker with a sensitivity of 87 db.

The speakers I installed are rated at 93 db and they get a LOT louder than the back stock speakers. I can fade the sound to the back by 2 and the front speakers are still louder than the back speakers.

The ones we got are rated at 91dB, and they were about as loud as OEMs.. barely louder perhaps.

I just wanted to add, I had my speakers installed yesterday, both my front and rear speakers are pioneer and I didn't need speaker mounts AT ALL... I was pleasantly surprised... My Auto Electrician put them straight in and because they're a shallow mount they don't hit the windows... And they fit in the triangle space no dramas...
