update - no oil consumption in 4,000 miles

Thought this would be better in the general threads.
So far no oil needs to be added and I'm just over 4,000 miles.
How is everyone else doing on oil, had to add any between changes?

As far as adding air to the tires:
We had a sudden drop in temperature one morning, to 45 degrees, and my TPMS light came on and stayed on until the outdoor temp came up in a few hours. The tires looked ok, and car felt fine, so I didn't add air (was in a hurry to get to work). Heard this is common on all cars with TPMS when the temperatures suddenly drop and the pressures drop slightly, the light may come on.
Temps are no lower than mid 50's at night again, and no TPMS light.

Just wanted to pass along my observations.

I changed my oil at 3,000 miles to get the factory stuff out. From now on, all oil changes will be done at 5,000 mile intervals. But at 3,000 miles, the oil was still fine on the dip stick.

I typicaly run higher than normal air pressures so the only time the TPMS warning light comes on is when there is a major problem that needs attention.

Yes, I was thinking of doing the same, adding a couple of pounds so when weather changes I don't have to be concerned. Guess factory fill is exact and a few pounds under sets the light.

By the way, I noticed it's easy to drip oil off of the stick since it's 0w20, like water almost. Just have to be careful not to drip it on the serpentine belt. I just missed it, the drop or two went on the tube and down to the undercarriage.

Still no problem at all on 20k oil change interval. No oil usage so far.

I had the TPMS light come on when we had our first cool weather. I checked the tire pressure and it was at 27 psi on one tire, 28 psi on the other tires. I put them up to 40 psi instead of 35 psi.

not sure about psi but I'm glad I don't have TPMS, am getting more and more annoyed by the overwhelming sensors. I get PMS instead ...

I can tell, by looking at the tires, that they need air even before TPMS even fires.

Also, no oil burning at all, it seems, in my engine.
