I've thought about having a light tint put on mine. The question I have is about longevity. It looks like most cars start to bubble after 5-6 years and need replacing. Since we have those defrost strips on the rear window, how do they not get damaged when they peel off the old tint?
Also (this shows I know nothing about tint), how do they trim it without accidentally slicing into the window rubber?
The tint that bubbles is doit yourself tint or crappy shop tint. Find a reputable shop and it will last a long time... We have a 2002 mazda protege5 that was tinted when new and it still looks good... All about quality material wih a quality installation!
