Why not 16x7/8 with some crazy negative offset? Then you can probably just do a roll and pull and either tuck it or go flush.

Borrowed a pic of a mph officer/member here in the philippines.
He has 17's on his mirage with lowered springs. The bottom pic is the one currently installed on his ride (i think)
I think 17 would be utterly utterly max. On this car. But due to the extremely soft suspension i think you have to replace stock shock damper as well
