Tell him to get ****ed and order you one. Either it didnt go in at the factory or it was lost in transit. They ALL are supposed to come with a plug for the ignition switch.
He's full of it, get him to order you another plug. All the ES trims at my local dealership had it plugged.

Mine came with the plug. I too have removed it without too much trouble just to look inside.

Yep...that was my first reaction !
But, out of respect for the salesman (yeah, I know) I'll see if he doe's the right thing first..
And thank's guys for the verification on the plug being included.
I made another attempt at harvesting one...I need to grow some fingernails

If the dealer doesn't own up, then call Mitsubishi customer care. Taking one off another car (without permission) is theft.
I bought a new plug.
I got to meet and B.S. with the parts guy for a good while (great guy!)
He's enthusiastic about the Mirage and happy to help.
One of the service writers recognized me, and told me how happy he was with the work that I had done on his motorcycle a few years ago.
Turned out O.K.
