What is the WORST fuel economy you have gotten?

As the title says, what is the worst fuel economy you have gotten in your Mirage, and why was it so bad?

Mine was the last tank of gas. About 240 miles with the cruise control set to 75 mph heading into a stiff 25 mph headwind while going through the hill country of Texas (LOTS of 5,000+ rpm revs to maintain speed). Plus having to run the defroster the entire way, headlights, fog lights, and windshield wipers due to heavy rain that had us slowing down to 40 mph a couple of times. On top of that, my wife and I were in the car, a mobility scooter, and luggage for a 4 day vacation.

When I filled the car up, hand calculations came out to be 32.2 mpg!

I think about 35 MPG. Last winter when it was -5 F, with a wicked headwind, and I was going 70 MPH. It probably would have been worse if there were many hills, but my part of Indiana is quite flat.

March 3, 2014, driving 70mph into a 25 mph headwind, subzero to single digit F temperatures, from Indianapolis, IN to Bloomington, IL.

MID read 40.5mpg, actual mpg was 42.8.

24 mpg. My commutes are only about 2 miles long and full of stop and go.

    RedLine!!!

Worst: 28.0 in a 140 mile jaunt. It was for time, rarely was it below 75-80mph (I think I mentioned it in my 'track' thread, IIRC it was on the way to the track - got it: http://mirageforum.com/forum/showthr...ll=1#post13312).
    Other baddies: 30.3, 30.8, 32.4, 30.8 & 30.6 (last two are my most recent fill-ups) currently my lifetime is 33.8 MPG(US).

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I routinely run the lil' triple up to redline. Everyday in my commute home I redline it in at least 3-4 gear changes and usually get up to 90+ in a 'sprint section' of a deserted (and limited access) road. I like running cars (and motorcycles) hard!

I had 2 adults 2 kids trunk full of luggage driving east from abq to Ma. and the worst I got was 38 going 75 on my car gauge and it was 37 when I checked it myself. I was really windy dont know how much but I was getting pushed around a lot. This was only for a few hours of driving the rest was all above 40 mpg

My worse was 8,2 L/100 KM or 28,7 mpg on 250 km trip thru northern holland watergate (afsluitdijk) where the wind was enormous. Drove 135 km/h (84 mph) almost all the way. Red eco light the whole way as well (poor 1.0L mini engine).
So relieved to know that am not the only one, I was shocked when I saw the meter!!

My last fillup was the worst "normal driving" fuel economy. Others that were lower the car was in the shop, and I don't really count those.

It's been cold and snowy here, so I've been doing a lot of warm-up remote starting. Before and after work every day this week.Really it's not that bad (about 36 mpg) compared to other vehicles!

I can't wait for spring to get here.
