Does a "salvage" title necessarily mean "turn and run away?"

    I mean... Eight grand!

I'd say it depends what the damage was that got it the salvage title and the methods used to repair it before dismissing the car.

And yes the rare 4 cylinder package is a must have, I'd pay upwards of $9,500 lol.

So pardon my ignorance, but "salvage" means it was written off by an insurance company? (Not a part of Canadian auto lingo.)

    That's my guess.

That would be correct. Usually cars are considered salvage when the repairs exceed 50% of the value of the car. (even a small accident can exceed 50% value now with crumple zones and all the air bags in todays cars)

What happened to this car I'm not sure. Doesn't appear to have any damage. The car could possibly have been stolen and the insurance was payed out before it was recovered.

HA! Yes, you wouldn't necessarily be able to spot a flood damaged car.

Those guys see stuff that's beyond normal human perception...
There's some great deals to be had, but you can also get your arse re-sized...
