I lost track of which car you guy's are talking about. If it's a 14' cvt than yes I'd be assuming it'll need a flywheel too.

And yeah why the cvt is out might as well just replace the input shaft and likely prolong the life by a lot. But both of those things sound like work that I don't want to do unless someone's paying me.

It's the plasma purple job here in Toronto for $2k. I agree, what it likely needs isn't a task that would be enjoyable, much less tolerable. Some jobs stink and this is one of them.

Not a royal pain, but you have to jump through a few hoops. Needs metric instrumentation, daytime running lights (if not equipped), etc. Also I don't think Mitsu Canada will honour a U.S. car's warranty, and vice-versa.

Not overly, I had a friend that imported a few vehicles from the states. You need the title and it'll have to meet Canada specs. My 94 firebird came from florida, buddy had to rig up a wire so the headlights would come on with ignition(DRL). Right after it passed an out of country inspection that wire was removed. He also bought a pretty modified vehicle (and obviously expensive) and tried to claim it he paid far less than he did. He got a big fine at the border lol

I'm not sure about needing metric cluster? My car was in mph and I've seen a lot of american vehicles for sale on kijiji in mph. Unless it's a fairly new law maybe??

As for pink Mirage selling, maybe someone had a driveline. I sensed the seller was open to any offer. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for $1000 or less.

Is it mandatory the English Canadians have to take French in highschool? Didnt Fummin's people kick the French out during the French and Indian war? Why are there even French speaking towns like Quebec and Montreal?
