I completely agree on the front ends. Way better imo.

I’d consider offering 4500 if it was listed for weeks already, Its Only been 4 days I believe. I think the price is pretty fair, I was considering seeing if he’d take 6. Cheaper than new by far. And I wouldn’t need to add cruise.

I’m not worried about cvt, I’ll be happy to if it only lasts a few years. Kinda hoping to get an early 14’ so I can see the changes from it and the 15’s. I’d change the cvt fluid before 50k to make sure warran ty doesn’t go away.
Fummy, you could get 200k miles out of that CVT!

Haven’t looked at the 14’ I might just see if it drops again and maybe go look next weekend. I’m not in a big rush. Who knows maybe these sellers are reading this thread 😂
Offering 40% less than asking might be excessive but I’d be happy. I hate negotiations, how about someone get the seller to sell it for $4000 and I’ll send you $500. 500 Canadian though might not be worth it lol

    A little bit newer (2015),
    A bit more kms (155k = 96k miles),
A bit more body damage (but doesn't look like any airbags went off),
A bit more money: $2800 (but that's just asking price... I bet you could beat 2400)

    Base Quebec special, with CVT.

Yeah, the "5" key is nowhere near the "1" key.

I asked if he had any service records and what the history is on the car. He replied with he's got a carfax.... I really don't care about the history but service records would be kinda nice to see.
Did he say what caused the damage on his 2017 Mirage? I looked at the pics. It seems like somewhat minor stuff, but it's spread out to multiple areas. It doesn't look like he hit a moose with it. Maybe this was discussed already, & I may have missed it, too.

Letting it sit for a week or two, may increase his willingness to drop his price. That comes at the risk of someone else buying it. It's hard to make an offer on a car you haven't seen in person. Then again someone else may offer him $4,500, & he may take it. That's the unknown!

I hope you find a Mirage to your liking. Darin & you both getting Mirages of your own sort of reminds me of two NFL players you like getting inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame or something!

The rad support was pushed back pretty far, rad hose was squished between fan and intake. Easy fix though. Drivers mirror was busted and held on with tape. Tailpipe was rusted off. Looked like it was used on gravel roads 99% of the time. Not much paint left under the car. The biggest turn off was an oil leak. I didn’t look close to see where it was coming from but wasn’t interested in fixing a ton of stuff right from the start unless the price was under$3k.
The owner was hard to understand and either barely spoke English or was a good actor lol. Overall car was trashed. To make great again would need both bumpers, lh mirror, fix oil leak, could use tires as they didn’t look to have been rotated before, needed windshield, and exhaust. Then whatever other problems pop up after looking further. Guy was relatively honest about the issues but wanted too much in my opinion.

I’ve missed out on a few deals being a few hours too late. My only worry is finding out I hate these cars as a daily driver lol but I’ve driven some total sh$tboxes in the past and given zero sharts.

I was talking/asking about the grey 2017 Mirage for $5,600 that you haven't looked at yet. I already assumed you made a decision on this other car. I would pass on that one, too.

After all, your wife is driving a brand new KIA. I wouldn't settle for a piece of trash!

That was the 17 that was trashed. I’m not buying it. Sorry I’m using my phone so my posts probably make less sense than usual.

I did Just look at the 14’. I have no clue wth model it is. Has auto temp, heated seats, fog lights, aluminum wheels, but no Bluetooth or cruise??

Damn, I'd have no issue negotiating for that car. Loaded, low kms, in amazing shape, weathertechs mean pristine carpets.

Overall a mighty fine Mirage. Around here that car would be priced out close to $9,000, or more, because of the low KMs. I've seen a couple on Kijiji and thought someone is getting a great deal if they can get their head around the fact it's a '14. My discovery is age doesn't seem to matter with these cars, they stay solid, rust free and tight regardless of age or miles.
