That car was $6,977 a few months ago (see ad below). Plus it has new tires, brakes, and an alignment check...

I wonder what these things are going for at the dealer auctions.

I saw an article about used Fiat 500 EV's, and they're selling for around $4-5k at auction, and dealers are adding 50-100% markup on their lots.

I just bought that black 2014 Mirage DE listed for $4,977. They were adamant they were "losing $2,300" on the car at the current price. Pretty sure that's bull**** because that's definitely not a sustainable business model. I guess I'll never know for certain. I'm happy with the price though and I got them to install a new battery since the car wouldn't start when I got there. Yay for cold weather!

If you look at the CarFax report, it looks like the dealer you bought it from picked it up at auction. I'm sure they made something on it but it probably wasn't nearly what they were hoping for.

Just curious...what size and brand of tire did they put on the car?

They installed Bridgestone Potenza RE92s all around. I'm glad I got these instead of the dunlops. In a few years when I need new tires, I'll probably explore my wheel and tire options a bit more.

Tire Rack has the RE92s for about $20 less than the Enasaves.

I've got a set of both. I'm hoping to do a coastdown comparison between them this summer. Not sure how valid it'll be though - they're different ages, and different tread depths. But worth a look.
