Thread: Cheap used Mirages you've seen for sale?

  1. #901

    $2000

    Another week, another price drop!

They're now asking $2000 for the above Mirage. Too bad it's so far away.

On the other hand, I really don't want a grey car!

Just checked train fare: $100-$150 one way, depending on the day.

This one has a few scars (check photos closely)...but it's been for sale for a while. My guess is $3500 in cash would buy this one easily. Not bad for a manual transmission car with 50K miles and a clean title. Lots of life left in this one!

^ Decently clean inside, too. I'm surprised how many people don't clean their cars up for the photos.

Yeah...people can be amazingly dense when it comes to selling a car. I look at a lot of classic cars on eBay and other sites. I'm always stunned by the person selling a $30,000 car with a description that only has 20 words and a couple of marginal cell phone photos.

When I sell a car, I even take the pics in my parents' driveway. It's a MUCH nicer looking street than mine.

That one HAS been on there a long time; it does not look like had been taken care of, plus the extra ventilation punched in the rear bumper....but I guess for 4 grand...

Reminds me of that time TopGear Uk showed an Ebay post with the car in the ditch.

It's also misrepresented. The lack of steering wheel switches as well as the Monroney sticker shows it is a DE, not an ES.

This grey Mirage is for sale not far from me. It's probably rotted out underneath. They pile on the salt on the local roads, and I've already seen ample pictures on the Forum here (inadvertent or not) of rusty underneaths. The body is going at the seams. To me now, I think "parts car" identical to mine, except the higher end trim. Fixer upper

Talk about bad depreciation! But this is a poor example of the car. Still.
