    Kirkland Lake IS a major gold mining centre;
    We have fantastic winters;
    We WERE economically depressed BEFORE we became a major gold mining centre (again).

    (btw, this car is in la belle province, east of Kirkland Lake)
    When did the mines restart? My last trip they were pulling the Lakeshore headframe that was, on the lakeshore leading into town

    2000s sometime. When I moved here in 2006, everything was on the up swing, and it's been like that ever since

    2014 top spec CVT with 193k on it (120k mi)... and a dented RF quarter & pranged front bumper.

    This might have been a $2500 car 2 years ago.

    But it's the first cheap one I've seen in quite a while.

    Considering my 2014 loaded spec sat for months back then and I paid $1500 for it delivered this green girl would have been $1500 tops 2-3 years ago. Hell, part it out for way more. It couldn't go for less, that would just be a big slap in the face to all us owners driving these "junky worthless little ****boxes" I recall seeing mint CVT top spec for $3000 and under quite often; many were hi-mile but so what on these cars?

    ISO a low mileage HB with manual transmission for my dad. He lives near Des Moines and I live near Minneapolis. We've been searching local dealers for a few months to no avail.

    Edit: I just found and sent him https://coronetmitsubishi.com/used/M...cf83e5708a.htm Any others? He's not too worried about price and would rather have newer and with cruise control, but the mileage isn't bad.

    Edit: we’re looking at a 2021 manual in yellow tomorrow!

    Edit: he’s getting it!!!

    That's my favorite one on AutoTrader at the moment... great color. As for cruise, bit of a hassle, but just need to find the correct steering wheel and someone with the MTAC or whatever the software is called. There is a user here in Chicago (dodgeariesk) who can help with that.

    So my 2017 with 40,000 miles, mint shape, a few enhancements is worth, what 10-15% less or maybe $12,500 US? Geez. I better sell it while I can. It will be the only new car I ever bought and drove for 5 years then still made a couple thousand upon selling.

    Damn, I wonder how hard it'd be to just get factory tpms working in a Canada spec Mirage and ship it south. MSRP on a new Canada spec 5spd Mirage is $10,500usd.

    A guy might have to dabble with swapping out etacs modules and pick up a set of tpms sensors? That seems to be the only thing I've found so far that prevents the Mirage from being imported down there without having to wait 25 years(or however long you gotta wait).

    It would have terrible and wrong markings on the speedo.
