What do you make of it when someone posts an actual photo of your own actual car in their "car wanted" ad?



That's my photo. I took that pic at the seller's house just before I bought the car - it's the Metro my buddy and I converted to electric power. Maybe 12 years ago?

They must have just done a quick image search for a Firefly/Metro/Swift and grabbed it from my build thread or website.

More than once I've seen something I sold on kijiji relisted by someone and they used the same pics I took myself and used in my ad.

I see that green wrecked one is still for sale(pending). If my truck wasn't in storage I'd consider that. The lien is a bit odd. The front bumper is worth almost as much as the asking price.

I'd be wise to just keep mine until/unless a better deal comes along. Mine is still ticking along with no sign of dying any day soon. I'm tempted to just replace the engine cause it's embarrassingly loud. I'll just keep running it til blows, which may just be forever?

That car is stillllll on kijiji. I messaged the guy to see if it's sold or not. It looks like a 2015? es or es plus? that someone put se wheels on. The lien part sounds weird but even if it is liened out that bumper is $500 new and maybe the engine is quiet lol? Hell, it's a 5 speed, I could waste a month or so of weekends swapping everything over and make mine a manual. Would probably only have to swap over the under hood and under dash wiring harness and modules. And pedals. Definitely not worth the effort but I've wasted far more time doing stupider things.
