Canada actually adopted the U.S. backup camera requirement for 2018 and up.

Not sure why we skipped the TPMS.

I have no actual knowledge, but if I had to bet, I would say that due to your temperature variance, and the propensity for extreme cold, you Canookians are taught at an early age to check your tire pressures as they can lower considerably with the cold.

Whereas the TPMS light could cause A) Confusion or Fear that something was wrong or B)Pure Anger or Annoyance over the damn light coming on AGAIN!

Dunno if either is remotely true, but I could see it.

I dunno, most gm's have had tpms since the mid 2000's. Our Nv200's have tpms, the annoying kind like with just the idiot light rather than the display that shows you which tire is low(or too high). Even our old turd pail 04' Armada had tpms.

It does come in handy for people like me who couldn't be bothered to check tire pressure until one is flat.

I probably went 10 years easily without getting a flat. Then I got one in my white car this past winter, destroyed the tire.

I replaced the rear tires on my truck on Saturday and found one of the inner duallys was totally flat. It even had a few holes in the sidewall That's okay, I mainly only use the truck to haul trailers, the last time being our toy hauler back from 3hrs away.

Holy crap. Pitter patter! The cheapest one in these parts is a rebuilt title 2015 Es or es plus Cvt with 90,000km for $3200. With the block heater cord hanging out, lower grille punched in and missing 3 hub caps.
