Thread: Cheap used Mirages you've seen for sale?

  1. #841
And car's that do hold their value will likely cost way more to keep them maintained. The Wife bought her car for 30k. Now under 5 years later it's worth less than half of that. Even less now cause the front bumper is cracked up. Basically lost the price of a Mirage in depreciation and still owes more than it's worth.
I don't think buying new usually makes a lot of sense but the Mirage is so cheap why not unless you find a great deal on a used one.

Wow...is that $3,000 Canuckistani dollars? That is about $2,300 US. NEVER see them that cheap here. Car doesn't look like it was babied, but does come with some nice extras (ventvisors, mud guards).

Early car, so I wouldn't want to have to find a CVT for it.

Wonder if it has a clear title?

Only 60k miles though, I need to believe the CVT on that vehicle would be good for at least another 100k miles considering Fummins's documentation? If the new buyer got 80k trouble free miles out of that car, thats a pretty good deal right? 80k miles for $2300.

But when you look at the fine print they actually want around $16700 for it... Can you say preying on those bad at math?

I bought that exact same car with 45k miles for out the door price of $7600 and mine included the car dent prevention package, chrome foglights, tail gate scruff plate, mud flaps, bottom protective side trim underneath the doors etc. This is a total rip off! Even with a horrendous interest rate nobody should pay even 9k for this.

True, that's a point but so unbelievably irrational to me. I got my Mirage in part because I had money that could be burnt, not because I really needed it.

The theoretical(quite possible) person to get ripped off here is spending an exorbitant amount for a used base level car. Going into debt voluntarily(Not including recovering from nearly dying in an explosion, etc) is something admittedly nonsensical to me. Why wouldn't they take their $1500 down to buy a wide selection of 20 y/o cars or maybe a stray beat up 10 y/o cobalt or kia rio?

Many bought brand new for thousands less than they will. I completely agree Dirk, total rip off.
