That's $1,644 USD! Someone else has taken the depreciation at that price!

Look at the shine on that puppy.

    Quebec, of course.

Wow. That is way less than what KBB says my 2015 ES is worth...with 173000 miles (278,000 km).

If I ever need to replace my Mirage I may just drive up to British Columbia and buy one from Canuckistan!

I dunno why it seems to be easier to find cheap ones in Canada. Might have to do with the Micra being far more popular (they tend to be $1-3k more expensive for the same year/kms).

We may have to start a separate Crazy overpriced Mirages you've seen for sale thread.

Here are all of the 2015 Mirages at CarMax today. For reference, I paid $10,300 for my 2015 ES (top trim level in 2015) brand new...

If CarMax will buy my car for $6K, I'll drive it over there right now and give them the keys!

$995 for a 2008 5-speed with 255k kms = 158k miles. Accident-free, as-is. [Meaning: not mechanically inspected, which is needed in Ontario for the new owner to get plates]. Comes with a set of good winter tires on rims, worn summer tires on rims.

Friends of mine own a used car lot... and this is currently on their lot. They get many of their cars from local new car dealers, trade-ins that are older or have higher kms. This is one of those.

They say it drives fine - they've been using it as their errand car for a few weeks.

I just said to someone yesterday: I have to start getting rid of cars. Not buying more! Too many projects.

That's an unheard of price for Honda Fit (even one with a few miles on it). $995 ($822 USD) is cheap!

I realize this is a 13 year old car, but they hold their value quite well in the States.

There are 17 different 2008 Honda Fits within 500 miles of my place on cars.com. They range in price from $3495 (181,000 miles) to $11,795 (31,00 miles). White Bear has a 2008 with 145,000 miles on it, & it's priced at $6,599. Most of all of these are the 5-speed automatic. Does an automatic add to the price of a used cars? I don't really think so, but it may increase the number of interested buyers.

The 1.5L Fit evolved over the years from 109 hp to 117 hp to 130 hp. 5-speed manuals became 6-speed manuals, & automatics became CVTs in the end.

I don't understand why your friends would let it even go for that price?

Metrompg in Ontario the temp license plate no longer expires due to the pandemic. It’s currently perfectly legal to drive around without the safety certificate using “temp tags”. The plates with the T sticker on them

mohammad - yup! I'm actually still using the T sticker on my 2014 Mirage, which I got last summer.

But I suspect that's going to come to an end sooner than later ... maybe later this summer or in early fall. If I keep the car for a year, it's going to require an inspection at some point.
