just bought my 2015 mirage es yesterday

Hi all i just bought my mirage yesterday it wasnt something that was even planned i opted for the es model since it has cruise control and i drive about 500 miles a week so far im overly impressed with the car. I drove about 120 miles yesterday and only needed to put 6 bucks work of gas in it. Coming from a pathfinder i thought that was absolutely amazing i havent taken any pics yet but i will be sure to do that today

Welcome. I'm a new member of the forum myself and just this month bought a Mirage as well. The low fuel consumption is quite amazing, isn't it? The vehicle replaced for me had 19 MPG city. The only thing I miss is having cruise control. The other day I found a gas station with fuel for a good 20c cheaper than others in the area so I filled up earlier than necessary. 180 miles of city driving cost me just $8 - numbers that still seem unreal to me.

Welcome, traveldude. That's quite the switch coming from a Pathfinder.

It's interesting - we've had a couple of new members recently who are putting on a lot of miles and picked the Mirage because it's cheap to run.

yea im loving the car so far ive already put 500 miles on it. theres a few things i dont like at speeds over 85 mph it gets a bit squirrely mainly swaying. the stock stereo is a bit to be desired mainly at full volume i can have a normal level conversation with someone. and i need to figure out how to mount an armrest in the car for the right side of the seat. but besides those im overly happy.

There has been some discussion on the forum about using a center console/armrest sold for the Yaris. You can get one on Ebay for
around $36-40. I ordered one. I'll see how well it works.

I'm guessing it won't be long before it pays for itself in gas savings?

Ultra Racing rear stabilizer bar would tighten up the suspension.

    Detailed thread about that here:
