    Tein HighTech Lowering Springs

The Tein HighTech springs I ordered from Japan arrived a week ago, and I had a chance to install them today. Took about 3 hours total to do the swap, keeping the OEM struts for now. I'll put in some higher quality dampers later on. The back end sits a bit lower than I'd prefer, but they feel great. Firm, but not harsh, even with my tires at 50 PSI. Haven't given them any extensive testing, just a short trip, but I've definitely noticed it drives flatter and it's a bit more responsive.

How much of a drop is that? (Got a "Before" photo?)

    Looking forward to further impressions.

I forgot to take some better before/after pics for comparison, but it's supposed to be a 30mm drop.

And another two side-by-side (it was flipping the image order when editing the previous post)

Dang! that looks sweet! I can't wait til my set comes in, i'm really lookin forward to having the lowered look and a more sporty ride.. the springs should compliment the Ultra Racing rear sway bar quite well..

They should definitely keep it level in corners together, that's for sure. I'm hoping to get their strut tower braces at some point.

yeah the strut bar is pretty nice and easy to install, and same with the rear sway bar.. just wish the springs came in at the same time since now i'll have to pretty much take the strut bar off and repeat 50% of the work for the rear sway bar to install the springs ..

    Wow it looks great!

Forgive me but I have to ask, how much all together? And do you have any ultra racing products with these springs?

These happened to be on sale on Amazon.jp for about $60, but with shipping and fees for the buying service, it ended up around $130, which is still less than the $200 or so retail price. I currently don't have any other upgrades yet, but like I mentioned, I definitely plan on installing the Ultra Racing strut braces at some point, finances allowing.
