    Hey mate, I wonder if that new engine (3.6L instead of 4.3L) reaches that consumption level by direct injection, associated with all the known disadvantages, such as motor fouling up, expensive injectors, expensive common-rail high-pressure pump, etc.
    The lack of such, and consequently lower ownership costs is one reason for me buying the Mirage.

    It is done using two port injectors per cylinder one for each intake port for better fuel and air mix and by using the extra injectors they reduce the fuel droplets size from around 70 to 30 microns. They also increase the compression ratio from 11 to 12 to 1. They also run ceremic bearings with less oil I'm the gearbox to reduce tourqe loss around 40%.

    A certainly very interesting concept, but it sounds like elevated maintenence costs in years to come. Wonder if works out economically for the owners?
