the "dated" look of the mirage

in response to the often repeated reviews that the mirage looks dated, some guy on youtube had a good response:

"wind tunnels have no concept of calendars"

That "dated" rear end will be the last thing they see when their 'modern'-looking cars run out of gas on the freeway.

This. The math is the same, doesn't matter what the year is, or who is making it. Notice that the Spark is the same general shape?

Notice that the most recent Insight was identical in overall shape to the Prius? Can't escape the math.

a car company CEO recently complained about that, arguing that the demand for low friction coefficients in cars would ultimately result in the same dull shape the prius and alike have.

The Mirage just has that understated jellybean look like a lot of cars had in the 1990s.

Car companies can make a handsome vehicle that has decent aerodynamics. The Lexus CT hybrid is handsome, but is still designed for aerodynamics. The Kodo style Mazdas have decent aerodynamics, and they're nice looking too. We're just going to see the rooflines in a more teardrop shape; personally, I like kammback styling anyway.
