I have not had any oil consumption, in either the '14 or '15. Glad for that, but hard to get used to. Seems cars always used some oil, like a quart between changes. For example, older Ford small blocks (Ford always claimed 1000+ miles, one quart loss was acceptable). These new cars are remarkable how they use no oil.
Is everyone else experiencing the same, having to add no oil?
Also (and I can't seem to find the answer in the manual), is there one oil light, for low pressure? If slightly low on oil, is the light supposed to come on? I assume it's a pressure switch, but you never know on these newer cars. Or, is there a failsafe in case of low pressure?
I have a 2014 Mirage, and my oil change interval with Mobil1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 was every 4,500 miles. I checked oil level midway between interval and right at the end - no perceived oil consumption. I've gotten so used to it by now that I'm confident in just doing the oil change, and not checking the level until next oil change and only checking the ground under where I park to make sure there's no leaks.
