Thank you all for the concern. I was heading into class, trying to get into the parking garage, and a young lady in a Jeep Wrangler pulled out from the stop sign without looking. It was just the two of us, and no one was injured Thank God. I just managed to smack my head on the B pillar, but the doctor said I was gonna be okay.

When I replaced the door speakers in my Mirage I noticed some nice side impact beams in the door to help protect the occupants. I remember thinking at the time what a bad spot to put them since the back door beams limit the speaker depth to less than 3". However after seeing the picture, I'm glad they are there and they seem to work pretty good!


I'm sorry you got hit but I'm really glad no one was badly hurt.



Fixing the doors would not be a huge problem, but that dent above the back tire would be a big pain to fix since you can not remove that body panel. It appears as though the rear bumper has also been forcibly removed so that would have to be replaced.
