Just purchased an all black brand new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage ES. Absolutely love it. If following the manual religiously, how many miles can we expect these things to last? With the cvt

Welcome and congrats!
With a 2014 I bet you got a good price.
On longevity, I'd be curious to know how many miles are on the taxi and delivery Mirages we've seen around. The car has been available since 2012 in southeast Asia... I wonder what the highest odometer is.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a well maintained little 3-banger go past 200k miles / 320 k kms. The little 1.0L Metros could do it. Rust killed many of those long before the drivetrain wore out.

I'm going to do everything by the book of not more anal. Really hoping to make it to 200k
My Metro had over 300k on her. I'm hoping my Mirage will hold up as good!
Wow. I would for sure get our money's worth at 300k. Surely with all the new technology it should be possible. 200k would be great though
Welcome to the site.
Almost all cars these days are made to go to 200k at least. Obviously, it'll need some work along the way, but there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to get 200k out of it.

I'm curious to see how these will hold up. I know here in Texas run them hard. Speed limits here are 85mph
Welcome !!!! Great Buy!!!! The life of a Car is the oil, change it faithfully sooner then what they say. And never over fill the oil. Hard on oil seals. Drive and take car of it. Don't drive like you have a race car! And it will last a long time. I had a Ford festiva and it had over 200,000

I did my first oil change at 526 miles, did I wait too long for the first change?
