Inflated my tires to 45 psi today for a vacation trip, and was pleasantly surprised to see the steering response was much better, however the ride is a bit rougher. I like the feel of the car now, so I'll take the trade off.

Is that beyond the recommended maximum?

Yes Rok1, but within max pressure.
I am wrong , max pressure is 44psi, with 36psi recommended. There's a guy on insight central that run 90 psi in his Bridgestone re 92s 165/65 14.
How about 44 in the fronts and 36 in the rears? Maybe the ride will be better. I might try that.

I run 50 in all 4.

Great call on the 44 /36 ! I'll try that on the way back. Also will do 50 psi when I get ready to play hyper miling! Thats what makes these forums great, every one ideas.
