70 Years after WW2, Mitsubishi to apologize to U.S. Vets

    http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/...u.s.-vets.html

I'm definitely not trying to start anything political here, just sharing this news piece I saw. As Mitsubishi owners, we, (presumably) don't hold a grudge against Mitsubishi for their war time actions.

The gentleman who lived in our house before us was a US POW in WW2 Germany. When he came back, he was very big into the Volkswagen scene, so much so that Volksfest Ohio has an award named after him: THE WARD HIXON AWARD: Given to the car & owner that best exemplifies the spirit and enthusiasm that Ward Hixon brought to our hobby.

Moral of the story: Forgiveness is good.

I think a ban on political postings is good. Let's extend it to include WAR, RELIGION and RACISM.

^ While I don't expect this thread to de-rail, that is the policy of the forum.

Who cares? Mitsubishi -the corporation that existed during WWII and that is doing the apologizing- is completely and wholly separate from the car manufacturer known as Mitsubishi Motors, or the subsidiary known as Mitsubishi Motors North America(MMNA). The car company didn't exist until the 1970's, when it was spun off from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Do you get your overhead projector serviced at the car dealership? Probably not.

What a bunch of hooey. This kind of touchy-feely, staged, self-flagellation and public shaming makes me sick no matter who is doing it, or to whom.
