Those look a little long to me. Love the vinyl graphics on the plasma.

Edit: They are new springs and have not settled in yet so that may be why I think they are longer.

Thanks! Yes I'm hoping they settle a bit, but I carry enough weight most of the time that I'd much rather have it a little high than too low. I'm getting used to the feel, but overall it's an improvement. Once I add back my Daox rear sway bar, should feel just right.

I did the vw spring swap about 6 months ago. Just my two cents but the shocks bottom bad when not loaded and the car feels more tippy in my opinion. Although I tow a small trailer almost every other day and keep weight in the car. With that in mind it’s an excellent for that but otherwise I think the stock springs are better.

H&R Coilover kit works pretty well. Not too soft, not too stiff. 30mm drop.

Had the car fully loaded with no problems. $190. Price is reasonable for brand/quality.

Quick question for you jerseydaredevil - have you had your alignment checked after installing this lowering kit? I'm curious to know how alignment was affected, especially the rear axle.

Yes. I had the alignment done after the install.

I couldn't tell you how off it was. From what i can remember it wasn't out a heck of alot. My rule of thumb is when you mess with suspension. It's a good idea to get the alignment checked. Also had front & rear braces fitted along with the kit.

How about headlight alignment? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. If you end up with the same ride height it's no issue, but if you alter the tilt of the car has anyone also sorted out the headlamp aim?

I'm pretty sure I was blinding people before the rear lift. Now that's not the case. My headlight throw does actually seem a little too short now, but still serviceable.

I did this mod because of the wheel and tire combo I chose where the inner rear fenders would scrape the tireson bumps. I like the look and feel of the setup. I have hit a few weird bumps that fully extended the shock a few times though. I also aimed my headlights after this mod. So far after 2 years driving like this I still like it.
