I'll do mine every 30K and have the dealer do it as well. I don't want to give Mitsu any reason to not honor their 10/100K warranty when/if the CVT belt gives out. Same goes for oil changes. If I cant find a service center to do it near by, I'll travel to my home dealer. BTW...Belle Tire knew my Mirage took synth 0-20w when I asked about an oil change while I was getting the tire balanced and rotated. Surprised me, as I had never heard of 0-20w until I bought this vehicle. They will most likely get my business for that as well.

I saw it under regular service at 30k. Should be easy to change, looks like an oil drain plug, easy access. No filter?

Correct no filter, drain and refill.

I went ahead and had mine changed for $70 (I'm at 30K). I'm too lazy to do it myself. I'm hoping the problems mentioned above with the CVT are because it was an older design and not a metal belt. From what I've read they just started making CVT belts out of metal a few years ago and they last longer now. At least that's what I'm hoping.

The Mirage uses a Jatco CVT7 transmission. Here is a link to the Jatco page.

    http://www.jatco.co.jp/ENGLISH/products/cvt/cvt7.html

Interestingly though, it looks like there are two filters for this transmission.

    http://www.automaticchoice.com/uploa...vt_filters.pdf

Page 4, first filter set on the page (CVT7).

Complete part listing for the transmission:

@ inuvik - dude, awesome find! I KNEW there had to be a filter for the transmission! For some reason, all the manual states that the only service to be done for the trans is just drain and fill.

Now we just have to figure out how to actually get those parts over here. Looks like that supplier only has locations in Europe. :-(

Greetings! I've done some research for you and found an alternative. Lubeguard makes a CVT fluid that is listed as compatible with Mitsubishi Dia Queen CVTF-J4.

    http://www.lubegard.com/~/C-1009/LUB...rsal+CVT+Fluid

Although there is no distributor in Pakistan fortunately Lubeguard is an international company and there is a distributor in Oman and the UAE that probably could ship to you. The company is called Dexol and here is the contact info for their distributors.

Oman contact info: Telephone: 968-24458708 Email: oman.dexol@gmail.com

UAE contact info: Telephone: 971-6-5420800 Email: uae.dexol@gmail.com

Hope this helps you out. This fluid will be expensive but at least it's listed as meeting the specifications for Mitsubishi.

You can't buy the lube from the Mitsu dealer?
