Ireland: The numbers all add up to great effect for Mitsubishi (independent.ie)

A good, if short review of the car. Praises the base model for its pricing over the 'intense' trim. Oddly enough it also praises what most other reviewers nag about.

The Space Star handles well on corners and has light and easy controls. The interior is reasonably refined. There is a lot of plastic but it is good enough quality and buyers should be happy with their €12,000 purchase.

    Pros:
    - inexpensive
    - handles well
    - good fuel economy
    - low road tax

    Cons:
    - 'good enough quality' interior
    - intense trim not really worth the extra money

One thing I did get a little laugh out of was this:

Both engines are three-cylinder design which makes them lightweight and their efficiency is helped by Mitsubishi's MIEV variable valve timing.
Its MIVEC! MIEV is their electric car.

I'm sure some people would like a MIEV engine in their Mirage!

Early info from Mitsu actually said the Mirage was developed to have an electric variant produced, but I just don't see it happening.

I learned something new from this review, posted in a new thread: Mirage has "Emergency Stop Signal" in some regions

Know what? This is the second Irish reviewer who has said he'd go for the 1.0L car: Mitsubishi go big on Space Star's small price (Ireland review - Independent.ie)
