Ok the weather is getting warmer here finally... We had a really nice day today, and each time I drive my Baby Girl, I fall a little more in love with her... She's just a great little car to drive, I can't understand the negative reviews...

Hubby has fallen in love with her so much, he wants one for himself.... So I spent the afternoon looking on carsales.com.au to get an idea of how much we'll need for a little used Red one next year... Should be able to pick one up the same as mine for $9 grand, not bad at all.... He'll use it in the cold months when he's not using his bike... Matching Mirages... Actually I'm going to add a lot of gold film to his paintwork and subtle gold accents, no chrome, and make it look tougher than mine... Can't wait to mod the second one....

I've decided to make a huge mod and pull the interior out completely and sound proof the floor.... It will also make it cooler in summer and warmer in winter...

I'm dreading pulling out the entire interior, I've never done it before, but if I do it methodically, it shouldn't be too much of an issue to put back together... I won't be doing it till after the summer and the kids have gone back to school...

SAT NAV GOES IN TODAY.... I'm very excited... Its not happening till 4.30pm as my eldest kid is representing his school in an athletics meet today so I'm swamped for the day... I will post pics when it happens...

The reverse camera is BRILLIANT....

I now have the most technologically advanced mirage in Canberra...

Now there's no way I would have been able to do this myself... He removed door seals to conceal wiring, and he was soldering some wires too.... He's also going to be the guy who'll helping me install the soundproofing.... :-) AND he's installing my LED headlights when they arrive too....

When it switches on, it shows the Mitsubishi Logo (very cool feature) makes it look factory... I'll take a pic of that later.... I'll take more photos tomorrow, its just too dark in the garage right now....

When we first set it up, it didn't work I was devastated... He pulled the entire radio out and half my car apart, installed it and it didn't work... I thought dammit, its a DOA, but he had a hunch the earth wire wasn't sufficient, so he replaced it, and it fired up right away... Ecstatic I tells ya....

It has so many features that I will have to list tomorrow, but I even have a Calculator for crying out loud... SO HAPPY.....
Oh and cost to install? $140....

There is only one thing that changed... The blue tooth that came with the car, and its steering wheel attachments no longer work as they are not connected... BUT I HAVE A REMOTE... And the Sat Nav has Bluetooth, so I have an extra microphone and GPS antennae on my dash... I'll take pics of that tomorrow too...

The reverse camera... I can't say enough about it... It has guidelines and everything....

If you don't have one, I can highly recommend it....Hubby was watching a DVD on the way home from the shops tonight, I was driving...

Your Mirage is looking awesome! Your new sat-nav stereo is pretty incredible. Although the thought of the driver being able to play games and surf the Internet are the stuff of nightmares! Plus if anyone from Apple ever sees their icons they'll be all over that company that made your unit. How does music sound through it?
