You could have them check it so it is noted and on the record. Rust perforation is covered 7 yrs / 100,000 miles on the US Mirages.

I am having rust protection in option for my Space Star since winters here in Finland are pretty rough for cars because all off the road salt to prevent ice.

It is not done by the dealership they buy it from company specialized doing these.
Mitsubishi Space Star 1.2 Cleartec Invite CVT

You can spray some fluid film on the areas so it won't get worse.

Try a farm supply store. Its in an spray can. It leaves a rust proof film. Any brand would do.

No wd40 will only displace water, it will not leave a protective film like fluid film. Fluid film is specially formulated to stop, and prevent rust. It will get into the pores of the metal, and last a long time.
It is sometimes used to prevent corrosion on new metals like new sheet metal. Construction industry? Shipping industry, even used in some food plants to lubricate machinery. This should be available in your country.

cant find the fluid film here, did try on several Ace Hardwares and others but they dont have one. Is there any other brand that is the same as fluid film?

Red automatic transmission fluid is pretty good, but I can't believe you can't get fluid film!
