Yes you can, with a speaker mount.... Once you pull off the interior plastic, you'll notice how big the factory speaker housing is, so the mounts I bought, will have no problems fitting.... :-)

    I bought these.....

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151721559...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

They're universal, and are only 14mm thick....

I've got rear speakers being delivered soon... I chose Pioneer TS-A1675S as they're a little bigger...

They will not fit even if you cut door; not enough clearance for window glass. So you either need to buy or make adapters, and with adapters there's no need to cut doors.

Not sure about specs, but your 1675s might be better then 1634s. We've used 1685s front/rear, and 1605C/1685 in other car, they all good. 1605 are 2-way,1685 4-way and 1675 are 3-way. I don't think that makes much difference; they all have same woofer.

I mentioned that the previous post.. .My adapters are 14mm thick, and my speakers are shallow mount (41mm I believe)... No dramas... :-) Thank you for the tip on the speakers, the front ones are two way and I believe the back (1675's) are three way? Correct me if I'm wrong....

Yes it looks like 1634s are lower specs and they cost 1/2 of 1675s

I destroyed my factory speakers, and cut off the plastic mounts leading to the magnet. once the inside was cleaned flat (leaving just the outside ring) I placed my Polk Audio DB651's on it and screwed it down. the screws end up being at a slight angle but that's no issue (6.75 speaks would have worked better me thinks). anyway, they mount right in the factory location and everything fits no issues and no rattles. didn't cut my doors, instead cut the oem speaks. apparently though I could have gotten custom speaker brackets online that i had found for about 20 bucks a set. They don't rotate into position, but they use a bolt, nut, and washer to adapt the kit to the oem weird mounting points.
