Recently, I've noticed that the engine sounds weird at 2-3.3k rpm at WOT.

Background:
I always try to reach 5th ASAP. I usually shift at or around 3k when possible, meaning the next gear will be at 2kish.

When I'm entering the freeway, the ramp is long enough that I'll be on 4th or 5th and I need to speed up. The engine sounds like our AC fan on high until 3.3k, then it smoothens out and sounds 'normal.'

Also only noticed this on 4th and 5th.

Just making sure everyone else has the same.

I haven't heard or encountered this sound or noise, but then again I haven't ran the car at WOT yet either.

Can you describe the noise? Where is it coming from?

Many years ago I had "a weird noise" coming from Caravan. Turned out it was a cracked rocker post, getting separated and slamming back under load.

Point is it is hard to make any guesses it could be anything. Check if don't have anything loose, missing screws, etc.

The sound is from the engine bay. Kind of like a person with asthma wheezing from 2.5-3.3k rpms then smooth after that.

Running the car at wide open throttle on 5th gear from 2.5k rpm to 3.5k rpm is dog slow as it's anywhere from 50-65mph on the overdrive gear. This kind of acceleration is normal for me because I see the freeway at least 4 times a day.

I have a rattle sound like chain or valves from mine. I just tell my
Self 100k/10year and keep driving lol

I feel a spring-like sensation underneath my accelerator sometimes, does anyone else feel that???? Only when I just start driving, when its warm I don't notice it.... I can literally feel it through the accelerator pedal....
