It sounds like its coming from the transmission and seems to be clutch related but was wondering if its the rear brake drums catching inappropriately while in reverse? It only ever happens in reverse while letting out the clutch.
It doesn't sound like normal gear-teeth whine, its more of a mechanical grinding scrapping noise, similar to a bad wheel bearing (but its not wheel bearing).
Thanks for any help.
Happens to me while moving from a stop in first gear while adding more gas than usual.
