Ask your dealer or call/send e-mail to Mitsubishi EU. There might be a TSB for this, but not the recall.

The corrosion issue is due to snowbelt states of US and Canada using salt to treat the roads. It is possible that the EU models have the same issue, but since you drive 1/3 of what people do here, noone ran into this yet. At least sufficiently to trigger recall.

Are your roads treated with sand or salt?

So no touristing in winter, check

We were toying with idea of renting a car in Hamburg and driving around Baltic sea, with ferry from Turku to Kapellskar. Of cause taking Oresundsbroen too.

Or you could take a short detour to Aarhus, and take one of the biggest catamaran ferrys http://www.mols-linien.dk/index.dsp?page=3630 it's fits 417 cars. 1000 passengars to Sealand and of course drive over Øresundsbroen https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%98resundsforbindelsen

Sorry for promotion Denmark, i did not wanna make a comercial out of it

We are probably detailing this thread completely, but I always wanted to do this since reading "Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige" The Wonderful Adventures of Nils many decades ago.

I've read Denmark was voted the happiest country in the past.
